Short answer Reviewed

How are requests assessed?

We consider users, goals, unresolved needs, project responsibility and deadlines. Existing tools are compared with new development. Student projects and public awareness websites can be considered within an appropriate scope.

What does the fit check do?

The tool helps identify suitable needs, preparation and constraints that need discussion. It is not an organisation ranking or an automatic acceptance decision.

A close deadline, unclear goal or personal-data attachments need attention first. You can still ask about practical next steps.

When are existing tools recommended?

Ready-made tools are recommended when they meet the need without unnecessary development. Forms, spreadsheets and shared storage may be enough for a simple process.

Describe work that remains difficult after trying existing options. Custom development is considered against its benefits and maintenance needs.

Who manages the project?

There needs to be someone who can explain the need, provide feedback and use the result. This may be an organisation coordinator or a student project team member.

Discuss accounts, data, handover and maintenance. A learning prototype and a public service have different requirements.

What if the tool does not describe my situation?

Explain your goal, progress and difficulty through the contact page. The tool cannot cover every situation.

Acceptance depends on discussion and available capacity.
